Gold leaf on glass art piece. Draíocht is the Irish word for magic. This piece measures 70cm x 25cm. It was created by using Victorian-era techniques such as acid etching, water-gilding and and mother-of-pearl to glass, all on the reverse side of the glass. This is the first acid-etched piece I have made available to buy. This custom Draíocht panel has a faux-aged mirror finish around the border, made using 12ct gold leaf and various ageing techniques.
